About the event

Put yourself in the expert hands of an official WHM Instructor to learn the 3 pillars of the Wim Hof Method: Breathing Technique, Cold Exposure & Mindset. Find out how you can utilize oxygen and cold exposure to optimise body & mind, and learn about the underlying physiology.


These workshops are limited to 20 participants, and I often choose to keep them much smaller. The intimate quality allows for ample personal attention, and feedback tailored to your specific situation. Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical performance, relieve symptoms related to an illness, or are just curious to find out what the Wim Hof Method is all about— this WHM workshop offers something for everyone.


The program generally kicks off with an introduction to the Wim Hof Method, and always includes a breathing session and an (optional) ice bath. At the end there is ample room for reflection, and the Instructor is there to answer questions throughout the workshop.


I will walk you through everything you need to know about the method, including:


- The science and research behind it

- How to practice it effectively and safely

- How to apply the techniques to your day-to-day life 


A detailed overview of the day is sent out upon registration.


If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, we recommend you finish your showers cold in the days leading up to the workshop. This may be overwhelming at first, but just try to relax, focus on your breath, and bring it into a controlled, steady rhythm.


Who is this workshop for?


This workshop is suitable for everyone, but does require a basic level of health. Out of precaution, we advise against participation during pregnancy, or if you are epileptic. People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions should always consult a medical professional before starting the Wim Hof Method.


Closer to the date, you will be asked to fill a form and get a chance to inform me of any health conditions or concerns you may have.

This workshop will be held in the beautiful village of Ridgmont, in Bedfordshire - right on the doorstep of the amazing Woburn Safari. In a stunning converted barn. Plenty of parking.

What do I need to bring?


- Swimming costume

- Towel

- Yoga mat

- Sleeping bag/Blanket

- Comfortable clothes

  • What if I have no prior experience?
    This day is designed for people of all levels of experience. Whether this is your very first time learning about the Wim Hof Method, or if you’re a seasoned practitioner, there will be something for you. Many people who come to these events are first-timers. We will walk you through all the basic principles of the method, and you will leave with a clear understanding of what the benefits are, how to practice safely and effectively, and how to apply the principles to your day-to-day life.
  • What’s the program?
    In traditional Wim Hof fashion, we embrace the 'no program program' philosophy! A lot will happen there, and one of the themes of the trip is to always be ready for anything. So we like to keep things open and somewhat mysterious. Having said that, you can certainly expect: - To learn new, advanced, breathing and mindset techniques that will blow your mind. - To have a profound experience that will reveal how powerful you actually are. - Hikes, swims, climbs, and monkeying around! - To make meaningful connections with people all over the world who share your values and interests. - You'll learn how to manipulate your physiology so you are in the driver's seat rather than a passenger. - Everything you learn will be transferred into your day-to-day life, and you will feel the impact.
  • Who is Wim Hof?
    Also known as "The Iceman," Wim Hof is a Dutch super-athlete known for his ability to withstand extreme elements - especially extreme cold temperatures. He has set numerous world records for endurance and exposure to cold, including climbing Mount Everest in shorts, running a marathon in the Arctic Circle barefoot, and immersing himself in ice water for record periods - without dropping his body temperature.
  • What is the Wim Hof Method?
    The method he developed, the Wim Hof Method, combines cold exposure, breathing techniques, and meditation, and has been proven to improve physical and mental well-being, increase resilience to stress, decrease inflammation, and enhance immune function. Hof has gained widespread attention and has been the subject of documentaries and scientific studies exploring the potential benefits of his techniques.
  • Is it safe?
    It is very safe. In almost all instances, you won’t be at any more risk than if you were going to a yoga class. You will be in full control over how much you participate in each activity, and you won’t be asked to do anything that you don't feel prepared for. There are only a few medical conditions that may require special attention, and you’ll be asked to fill out a form beforehand where you will be able to let us know so we can prepare if needed.   • What if I have a medical condition?
    In almost all cases, you will be able to attend the retreat despite any medical conditions. However, some of the activities may need to be adapted for you, or in some instances, you may not be able to participate in some of the activities. You will be required to fill out a form before the event where you can let us know if any of the following applies to you: You are epileptic You are pregnant You suffer from any heart conditions Have Type II Raynaud’s Syndrome Have a history of serious mental health issues Any medical conditions you think we should know about If you have any questions, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help. We can chat about your situation and decide together whether you should join in on the day.
  • I’m curious, but I hate the cold! What should I do?
    Honestly, just come! So many people have this concern, and then realise they never had to worry in the first place. The experience is not all about getting cold. The ice bath is only a small part of the day, and everything we do is totally optional anyway. What you will learn will have a major positive impact on your life, and you’ll be able to use those principles and techniques to improve many aspects of your physical and mental well-being and health. And who knows, it may also change the way you feel about the cold 😉
